Klinger

Paint Products

Klinger Paint Company was founded in 1900 by Wesley Klinger as a supplier to contract paint for painters. It wasn't until 1930 that the Klinger Brand began to be manufactured. This decision moved the company from a wholesale distribution model to a manufacturing model. In 1930 Wesley's son, Leo, took over the operations. Then in 1950, Leo's sons Bob, Don, and Jim joined the company.

In 1970, Klinger decided to expand their reach into the industrial coatings market and began supplying original equipment manufacturers. In late 1970 an arson fire destroyed their factory and the company was forced to rebuild in 1971. The Cedar Rapids facility still stands in that location, today.

From 1980 to 2010, the third generation of the Klinger family proved instrumental in the growth and success of the family business. The third generation consists of Bob's sons, Doug and Rick. Today, the members of the third generation are all retired and Jim's son, Brian, has become the plant operations manager. Brian is the fourth-generation family member to have a vital role in the company's future.

Today, they supply products for propane cylinders, custom coatings, aerosols, and Anhydrous Ammonia tank coatings. Klinger supplies products to OEM clients, as well, as works through a distribution network - which is how Dultmeier Sales came to be partnered with them in early 2018.

Klinger Paint is a leading industrial paint coating manufacturer that continues to serve an extremely diverse range of businesses for over 100 years. The Klinger name is synonymous with long-lasting and quality products. This is one of the main reasons as to why Dultmeier Sales has chosen to represent the Klinger brand in the Anhydrous Ammonia market.
